I threw my hands up in the air, and almost gave up. After that initial crash, I started crashing every few minutes. I played for a couple hours without issue, and thought I had squashed the problem. I also bypassed GOG Galaxy with an exe shortcut, and set the game to borderless windowed. Uninstalled the game, copied saves, deleted anything I could find, and reinstalled after using DDU and installing new drivers. I tried a bunch of the posted fixes one by one, and then eventually decided to bomb the whole operation. The Witcher 3 in general has been a largely rocky affair, but my enjoyment of the game overcame the issues I was having. I had a ton of crashes to desktop when I first installed B&W, after having a relatively smooth time with Hearts of Stone.
